Hello, my name is Penelope. I'm a 3 year old Terrier Mix who lives in Acton, CA. Early this morning I was attacked by a coyote and dragged off until my Daddy chased it down and rescued me. I am currently at the hospital in pretty bad shape with a fractured rib, multiple puncture wounds on either side of my hips, fluid around my intestines and kidneys, along with tears in my body and abdominal walls which require surgery within 48 hours from today.

My Daddy, Keith, has already taken out two loans this morning to stabilize me and give me a fighting chance, but cannot afford further treatment and the surgery that is necessary. According to the doctor, without surgery I will die, but with it, I will live. We desperately need help with the remaining balance to have the surgery needed.

My Daddy and I are best friends and I love to go hiking and camping with him. I hope to have the opportunity to continue on these journeys and adventures with him. Any assistance would be so greatly appreciated and a great way to start the new year over for me! Thank you!
