Help Penelope Fight Her Brain Tumor

Penelope is a joyful, fearless six-year-old who loves cartwheels, math, and making everyone around her laugh. She brings so much light to our family and is the very best big sister.

In November 2025, after a fall and what we thought would be a routine scan, doctors discovered a complex brain tumor in the pineal gland region of her brain. The tumor is blocking the normal flow of fluid and requires surgery to remove.

After extensive research and consultations, we found the surgeon we believe gives Penelope the best chance at a full and healthy future: Dr. Libby Infinger at MUSC Children’s Health in Charleston, SC. She specializes in rare, minimally invasive pediatric brain surgeries like Penelope’s. Unfortunately, she is out of our insurance network, leaving us responsible for much of the cost.

Our goal is $25,000 to help cover surgery expenses and travel so Penelope can receive this critical care.

Penelope knows the doctors need to fix her brain tumor, and right now she’s focused on her first airplane ride, picking out fun hats for after surgery, and getting back to doing cartwheels as soon as she can.
