Hi, my name is Joe, and I am organizing this fundraiser on behalf of my parents, Steve and Peggy.

Recently, my mom Peggy underwent a double bypass open-heart surgery. By God’s grace and the skill of her medical team, she came through surgery strong and exceeded every expectation placed before her. She is now home and beginning the long road of physical therapy and rehabilitation.

While we are incredibly thankful for her progress, the recovery process requires full-time care. Because of this, my dad Steve has had to step away from work to become her full-time caregiver. He is now responsible for her daily care, medications, transportation to therapy, meals, and all household responsibilities.

Steve will be out of work for an estimated three to five months while Peggy completes physical therapy and rehab. During this time, his weekly income of $700 is completely on hold, while new medical bills are expected to exceed $10,000.

Without income during this recovery period, my parents will not be able to cover their rent or basic household expenses on their own, which puts them at risk of losing their home if they do not receive help.

Funds raised will be used to help cover:

Lost income while Steve is unable to work

Rent and essential household expenses

Medical bills and rehabilitation costs

Groceries, utilities, and transportation to therapy

Asking for help does not come easily, but allowing others to help during this season is both necessary and humbling. We are incredibly grateful for the prayers, love, and support already shown, and we continue to trust fully that God is faithful and walking with us through this.
