Help Peggy Parks Through Medical & Personal Crisis
This Go Fund Me has been created on behalf of Peggy Parks, a beloved member of the Virginia Beach Police Department family (10 years) and a former employee of the Chesapeake Police Department (18 years), who is going through an incredibly difficult chapter in her life. Peggy has dedicated her life to supporting others—with kindness, strength, and unwavering loyalty. Now, it’s our turn to support her.
Over the past year, Peggy has been courageously battling a serious medical condition. Despite enduring a difficult surgery and recovery, her condition has not improved, and she now faces the frightening possibility of losing her foot. Another major surgery is urgently needed, and the emotional and financial toll has been immense.
As if that weren't enough for her to navigate, tragedy struck unexpectedly when Peggy lost her husband 2 months ago. He was the love of her life, her lifelong partner, and her rock through all difficult moments. His passing has not only left a hole in her heart, but it also brought unforeseen financial complications. With no will in place, Peggy is now navigating probate court, legal fees, and trying to make ends meet with only his final paycheck. She herself is unable to work right now due to her medical condition and has exhausted her paid leave benefits.
To make matters worse, during this scorching summer—with temperatures nearing 100 degrees—Peggy's HVAC system completely failed. The $4,000 needed for repairs has taken a heartbreaking toll on her savings—money she desperately needs for basic living expenses and to stay afloat during an already overwhelming time.
We are hoping to raise $10,000 to help assist her with:
• Medical bills and costs related to her upcoming surgery
• Legal and probate attorney fees
• General living expenses during this time of crisis
Peggy has always been the type of person to show up for others—through her work, her friendships, and her community. Now she needs our support more than ever.
If you are able, please consider donating to help Peggy get through this incredibly hard time. Every little bit helps—whether it’s $10, $100, or simply sharing this campaign with your network.
Thank you.
