Peggy Breedlove is a former professor at Collin College. She had to retire early due to her medical issues. Peggy has a degenerative disease that leaves her in much pain throughout the day. Peggy has gone from walking with assistance to completely reliant on an electric wheelchair. Peggy is mostly homebound and only goes out for medical appointments.  She spends the majority of her day in bed dealing with many physical issues. There is no cure for Peggy and her condition continues to worsen. We are in hopes of raising money to get Peggy a van with a lift. This would allow Peggy to get out more and make it easier for her to go to medical appointments. Getting in and out of her wheelchair into to the car and back out again into her chair causes Peggy much pain. The lift on the back of her car is difficult to use and has caused many problems. With the money raised Peggy can pay off her current car and put a downpayment on a van with an electric lift. A used van costs anywhere from $40,000 to $60,000.
