Hi everyone, we are starting this GoFundMe to help our beloved grandmother, Peggy Stewart, find a new home. For the last 6 years, myself, along with my brother and sister, have been Peggy's caregivers. This huge responsibility has been something none of us planned for, yet we were willing to step up and be there for Peggy because of all the times she was there for us. This task has never been an easy one, but we have always viewed it as a blessing in disguise. We have been so blessed to be able to spend extra time with Peggy, a truly wonderful, amazing person whose love for everyone is boundless. She has been able to see her great-grandchildren be born and grow up and now she enriches their lives like she has ours all these years.
Even though time has been good to Peggy, who is 94 years young, she has reached the point in her life where she can no longer live on her own. She has had a series of bad falls recently and is now very weak and unable to perform her daily routines as before. As a family, we have exhausted every avenue of time and financial means we can in taking care of her. Whether that was having her live with us for a while, getting her in-home care, spending countless days/hours sitting in hospital rooms with her, paying all her medical bills, going grocery shopping for her every two weeks, and any other expenses that have come up. Our families need further financial support for the care she needs at this point in her life. With this GoFundMe page, we are hoping to give Peggy exactly what she needs, a new home within an assisted living community.
Whatever you are able to donate will be greatly appreciated and allow us to give her a fresh start for the next chapter in her amazing life. If you know Peggy at all, you know she is big into her church. That church being Oakland Avenue Presbyterian Church in downtown Rock Hill, SC. So please leave a comment along with your donation saying how you know her and maybe even a brief story of your relationship. We will make sure to read every post to her so that she can see how truly blessed, and loved she is. Thank you.
