Where would I be without Peggy? For many who ask ourselves this question, the answer is unclear. As a mom, teacher, co-worker and friend, she has bettered countless lives with her open-arms nature to embrace and help anyone that crosses her path, all the while with a never-ending smile on her face. With her rare, magical spirit, Peggy is a true unicorn.
If you know Peggy, she is all about helping others, but she is the last to ask for anything. However, she is beginning a new, difficult journey where we have to take on the Peggy spirit.
She has been diagnosed with breast cancer. It has been identified as the triple-negative variant of the BRCA gene. This is a very aggressive form of breast cancer that does not respond to the more traditional methods of treatment. Unfortunately, she is now in a position where she will incur significant medical expenditures that are near impossible to readily pay. Most importantly, she will need to recover for 2-4 weeks and we would like to have a safe and calm space for her to process, meditate and heal. To truly do so, we are asking to help with some of the heavy lifting.
Peggy has spent a lifetime helping, mentoring, coaching and comforting others. We now ask that she be able to leverage that lifetime support. She wants to aggressively attack this cancer and have the mental and physical fortitude to do so. We appreciate any support you can give in any amount and all funds will go to her support and recovery.
