Help give this kitten a chance for adoption and a good life.

Peggy and her 3-week-old siblings were rescued from a maintenance garage where the mother was found dead.

Animal control came the night prior for mom but would not look for the kittens through all the stuff in there. The next morning when I came to look for the kittens, Peggy was the first to be crying and came out right away. I soon noticed her back leg was severed above the ankle.

After making several calls and getting her to the vet, it was determined the stump was attempting to heal with a thin layer of skin already forming. Since she was active and eating well, the vet said to keep the leg very clean and when she is about 3 lbs, she should get an amputation.

I need to raise the estimated cost and the related vet bills.

I have had her to the vet twice already and her knee is a mess. Due to the usage and no counter pull of some ligaments, her knee is hyperextended, almost looking backwards. So now, I have gabapentin for her daily.

I have never asked for anything before but recently had some major expenses for other cats, including mine. I have done a lot of fostering, TNR, and rescue. I am not with a rescue nor do I have the financial help of a partner, and lately, it has been a bit overwhelming.

I am confident she will be adoptable after this long haul.

She is a very spirited, brave fighter as she was the first and only one to come out and ask for help.
