Help Pedro Get Life-Saving Ear Surgery

Meet Pedro, a gentle and resilient older stray cat who has been living on the streets for quite some time. We started taking care of him in 2020, he would hang around the neighborhood and only get close if there was food involved. It took us over a year to earn his trust, now he loves being petted and sleeps on our terrace every night.

We began noticing Pedro scratching his ear frequently and shaking his head in discomfort. Turns out he has a polyp that is blocking his ear canal, causing him a recurrent infection that leads to extreme pain.

The vet gave him antibiotics and tried different treatments. He performed a procedure to remove the polyp but the tissue was too necrotic to extract. The only way to help him is through a total ear canal ablation, a surgery that will remove the whole ear canal so he will not be in pain. The infection can spread and become life threatening if not treated. We want to keep him healthy and improve his quality of life, but we need your help. Pedro needs your help.

So far we’ve covered all of his veterinary care expenses and they’ve piled on. This surgery is costly and as a stray, this is Pedro’s only shot to find caring humans who can help cover the cost of his surgery and give him a chance at a better, pain-free life.
