As many of you know, I’m the Co-Founder and CTO of PEBL Health, a startup developing a handheld medical device that can detect early signs of neuromuscular diseases like Parkinson’s and ALS, potentially years before traditional diagnosis is possible.

Our device measures pinch force, tremor patterns, and force signatures to catch warning signs when intervention can make the biggest difference. Early detection means earlier treatment, better outcomes, and more time with loved ones.

We’ve built the technology. We’re actively validating the science. Now we need to protect it with a patent, and patent costs are significant. Filing, legal fees, and the examination process add up quickly, especially for a student-led startup.
