Pearly is a Siberian Husky/Timberwolf mix who’s more human than animal. She’s my personal service dog, and I was blessed to receive her from a loving family when she was just three months old. Over the next three months, I trained Pearly to the point where she didn’t even need a collar. Her unique temperament and beautiful looks attract people from all walks of life, and she’s become a beloved companion not just to me, but to everyone she meets.
Last week, Pearly went to the dog park and bravely tackled the obstacle course, but unfortunately, she ended up with a torn ACL. She’s already seen a few veterinarians and is currently on pain medication, but she’ll need surgery to heal and get back to her joyful self. Pearly is more than just a pet—she’s the mascot and meet-and-greeter at Swisspark Bar & Grill in Newark, where I work. We’re together 24/7, visiting kids and elderly folks, spreading joy and happiness wherever we go.
All the funds raised will go directly toward Pearly’s surgery, her medicine, and the recovery process, which could take up to three months. Any support means the world to us, and will help Pearly get back to doing what she loves: bringing smiles to everyone she meets.
