Help Pearl's Journey to Recovery

On December 28th, I took my sister Pearl to the emergency room where she presented with left side numbness of unknown cause. Once arriving at the ER they scheduled her for a CT scan and an MRI. Their findings were that she had a brain tumor in the left hemisphere and to receive the necessary care would need to be flown to Seattle where she is currently hospitalized at Swedish Cherry Hill. She is undergoing surgery today, December 31st, for partial removal of the tumor. They are unsure what exactly her next steps will be once the surgery is complete, but they do expect she will see neuro-oncology. As we know at this time the tumor cannot be removed in full and her team does expect radiation treatment to follow. Jewel and I would like to help ease any financial burdens as she continues treatment. Anything helps right now, as we don’t know what her recovery time looks like just yet or what she will be facing for the future in terms of further care. They will be awaiting results of testing of the removed tissue to know what we are dealing with to make a more detailed plan for further care and treatments.

All funds will go towards any bills or expenses she will need covered during her treatment and recovery.
