On May 28th, our beloved Peanut was suddenly hospitalized with severe hemorrhagic gastroenteritis. She faced a life-threatening situation with dangerously low blood sugar, blood pressure, and body temperature, along with severe dehydration. She is only six years old and otherwise very healthy so this was a shocking medical emergency. The veterinary team worked tirelessly overnight, providing a plasma transfusion and placing a feeding tube to stabilize her. Thanks to their dedication, Peanut is now stable and beginning her recovery, but she still needs to be monitored at the hospital for several days and will require special food and medication as she heals.
Peanut has traveled with us across the country, joining us on paddle boarding adventures and mountain hikes. Her playful spirit has brought so much joy to our lives. This sudden medical emergency has been overwhelming, both emotionally and financially, and we’re doing everything we can to give Peanut the best chance at a full recovery.
We’re reaching out for help to cover Peanut’s hospital care. Any support will go directly toward her medical expenses. Thank you for considering a donation to help us keep Peanut healthy and by our side.
