Peaches, my mom Sheri’s beloved schnauzer, is more than just a pet—she’s her emotional support animal and a true member of our family. Peaches has a gentle, human-like spirit, always offering comfort and understanding, especially when my mom needs it most. She’s the kind of dog who seems to talk with her eyes and brings stability and unconditional love to my mom’s life.

Recently, Peaches was tragically hit by a truck that was evading police. My mom bravely ran in front of the truck to try to stop it, but despite her efforts, the truck persisted and struck Peaches, causing her serious injuries. The pain and fear in that moment were overwhelming, and now Peaches is suffering and in need of urgent veterinary care.

My mom, Sheri, works hard as a job coach for special needs adults, dedicating her life to helping others. Unfortunately, she cannot afford the vet treatment Peaches desperately needs to survive and be comfortable during her recovery.
