Help Payton Compete at Fargo National Wrestling Championship

Hello everyone,

My name is Payton Tomasi-Douglass. I am a 16-year-old sophomore from Vermont. Like many kids, I was introduced to sports at a young age, and for me, that sport was wrestling. I have been training with my current off-season team for the past two years, and as we continue to grow, new opportunities within the wrestling community have opened up, helping us move closer to achieving our goals.

This year, we have been presented with one of the biggest opportunities yet: the chance to compete at the 2025 USA Wrestling Junior and 16U National Championships in Fargo, North Dakota. This event is not only a prestigious competition but also an incredible experience that could have a lasting impact on my wrestling career.

However, as with many great opportunities, the financial burden is significant. Growing up, I was always hesitant to ask for financial help, preferring to find ways to manage on my own. That said, the costs associated with this tournament ; including plane tickets ($1400 round trip) , a rental car ($1250), an airbnb ($1500) , and tournament entry fees for myself, my coach, and my mom($15 a day for me, and $25 a day for my mom and coach), are beyond what my family and I can afford.

The amount I am seeking will help cover these expenses. Any additional funds raised will go directly toward supporting other teammates who are also striving to attend but are facing similar financial challenges.

Asking for assistance is not easy for me, but I know that pursuing my dreams sometimes requires stepping outside my comfort zone. I am truly grateful for any support, and I am committed to making the most of this incredible opportunity.
