Hi I am Laura,

I am in need of help to pay for my master's degree. I am not usually the person who would do this kind of thing, and I do not like to share my financial struggles on social media, but here I am.

As an international student from South America, Colombia, I have worked hard to always advocate for international students, and I even recently won an award at Penn State. However, international students struggle each day to get through college in the US.

In my case specifically, I recently got accepted into Carnegie Mellon to do a Master's in Information Systems Management after doing three majors at Penn State University.

With this acceptance letter, they also offered a 75% scholarship, which is great. However, now I am struggling to pay for the other 25% plus 1,500 per month of rent in Pittsburgh, PA.

As an international student, I am not allowed to apply for FAFSA, loans are no longer an option for me, and I am not allowed to work outside of campus till after taking two semesters.
