The Bodhi Dog Rescue & Shelter has been rescuing and caring for dogs in Phuket since 2012. Our founder, Tina, moved from Australia to Thailand to dedicate her life to rescuing dogs. Today, she cares for dogs at the shelter and at home, while also helping sick, injured and abandoned dogs from the streets.

The shelter relies on donations to keep going, but when there isn’t enough, Tina uses her own savings to make sure the dogs still receive the care they need.

We currently have around 115,000 Thai baht (around €3,000) in outstanding veterinary bills.

The money raised will help cover urgent veterinary care, including emergency treatment, hospital stays, blood transfusions, medication and ongoing tests.

One recent case is Sweetpea, a Chihuahua who became critically ill after contracting parvovirus. She needed three blood transfusions and more than two weeks of IV antibiotics, with treatment at one clinic alone costing 52,528 Thai baht.

As GoFundMe is not available in Thailand, volunteers in Europe are organising this fundraiser on behalf of The Bodhi.
