Johnny Denton, a retired Henderson Fire Department Lieutenant, was involved in a serious accident on June 3rd where he was walking and was struck by a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed. Johnny had to be Lifeflighted to two different hospitals for emergency medical treatment (the first hospital could not treat the severity of his injuries). He was ultimately flown to a hospital in Indianapolis where he underwent emergency surgery to repair a torn aorta in his abdomen. But, that wasn’t all— Johnny’s injuries include multiple broken bones, a skull fracture, broken orbital bones in his face, shoulder, ribs, and a broken femur above his knee.
The man responsible for the accident had multiple warrants, was driving on a suspended license, and most importantly had no insurance. Johnny is self-employed and has health insurance, but it does not cover the very expensive helicopter flights. It is possible he may not be able to return to work even after physical rehabilitation. He and his family are now facing major financial challenges due to this incident.
Your generous donation will help support Johnny and his family through this difficult time. Any contribution, no matter how small, will be greatly appreciated and will go directly to Johnny.
Thank you for your kindness and generosity in helping a member of our community in need.
