Help Cover Rent and Bills After Gender-Affirming Surgery!

Hello lovely humans, I'm Lisa (she/her) and I'd like to introduce you to my close friend Ali(Ah-lee)/Al (they/he).

The last thing Ali wants is attention, other than from his cat Misha. Al is known for their vegan baked goods, dark humor, and mad crafting skills. Most of his free time is spent playing video games, saving up to go to concerts, and roller-skating! While he may seem quiet to some, once you get to know him, he radiates a special kind of uninhibited energy that people love him for.

They are also on their journey of receiving life-saving gender-affirming care! This is an exciting and validating time for them. As amazing as it is, they will struggle even more to pay rent and other basic essentials while they recover. Like many of us, Al is affected by the economic burden of the health care coverage costs in the U.S. Living in So-Cal is financially difficult as it is, and throwing medial costs on top of living expenses is a huge stressor, often inaccessible.

While Ali was approved for his gender-affirming care, they still need community support in accessing the safe imperative healthcare, and financial support during necessary recovery so they can live and thrive authentically.

Every single donation will get Ali closer to a life where they feel comfortable and at home in their body. Your generosity will provide not just financial assistance, but a message of love and acceptance. Something I think we all need, now and always. "❤️ I will need at least 6 weeks off of work to recover, which isn't financially possible for me. I barely make it paycheck to paycheck working OT every week. As someone with chronic illnesses, I don't know how my body will hold up if I'm trying to work while I should be resting

❤️ This fundraiser will hopefully help me cover rent, bills, food, transportation, medical supplies, Lisa taking time off work to care for me, etc.
