Help pay Gina's emergency medical + therapy bills

On Sunday, March 3, our beloved Gina was struck by a car while taking a walk on 14th Ave in Oakland. When the driver saw Gina, they slammed the breaks and Gina jumped back, but not in enough time. The front tire ran over Gina's head.
The driver slowed for a moment -- just enough time to see Gina laying in the street -- but then drove away before we made it back to the sidewalk.
When we arrived at the Berkeley Dog & Cat Hospital, the vet informed us that Gina was in critical condition. There was nothing we could do but wait for the x-rays to come in and see how she responded to care.
Gina stayed in the hospital one night and during that stay, the nurses monitored her blood pressure, checked her brain for swelling, and administered pain medication.
The x-rays indicated that Gina has no broken bones or trauma to her head. Although, she lost a tooth and has suffered some spinal trauma and internal bruising. We are giving her lots of TLC and we are hopeful that she will be up and walking very soon.
Because of Gina's overnight stay and continued care (one of us must be away from work and at home with her at all times), we will incur a large financial blow. So we have turned to gofundme to raise money for Gina's current medical bills and impending physical therapy. Anything, no matter how big or small, helps.
