Hi everyone. My friend Gabby Torres needs help paying her tuition at Nazareth College due to COVID-19 and family hardships. 


She is a first generation student, studying public health with minors in social work and global studies. After COVID-19 hit the US earlier this year, Gabby was rendered homeless and without financial or emotional support from her abusive family members, after making the hard decision to leave that unhealthy environment. As the 2020 fall semester approached, she has been denied access to information needed to file for both FAFSA and NYS TAP from her family. Without this information, her financial aid package from Nazareth will not be substantial enough to cover her tuition cost. The financial aid office at Nazareth, unfortunately, informed her that there isn’t anything they can do on their end to support her through this stressful situation. 


Gabby has made a profound impact on the Rochester community as an activist and organizer and constantly advocates for individuals who are in similar situations as her. 


Allowing her to go to school will create a safe environment for Gabby to pursue her passions and goals in the public health and public service fields. 


I want to help her raise this money because I know how much her studies mean to her. Thank you for all for your grace and help.
