Help pay for the Hertzog’s COVID-19 hospital bill.

Right after celebrating Christmas as a family, both my parents and sister tested positive with COVID-19. While my sister and dad were able to recover, my mom’s health progressively got worse.
On January 3rd, my mom was admitted into the Northeast Georgia Medical Center with complications due to COVID-19, including pneumonia in both lungs and an alarmingly low blood oxygen level. Upon arriving, she was able to receive Remdesivir, a COVID-19 treatment. While she got better in some areas, she progressively has gotten worse in others. With the introduction of steroids, she is now facing an alarming high white blood cell count and blood sugar levels. Not only that, but there is now the threat of a staph infection. As of January 13th, she is still in the hospital and we have no idea when she will be able to come home.
While we are immensely grateful that she has been able to receive help at the hospital, the medical bills that are piling up as a result are astounding. With my mom being self-employed with no sick leave to fall back on and dad having to juggle work and two kids all by himself, income has been slim to none.
We are a hardworking family that has always tried our best to fix our own problems. However, with mom still in the hospital, we are setting our pride aside and asking for help. All donations will go directly towards paying for my mom’s medical bills and keeping my family as far from financial burden as possible. With the support of friends, family, and an almighty Lord, we’re praying we’ll be okay.
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:6-7)
