Hello, my name is Rin and I'm raising money to pay for my dad's heart bypass surgery, or Coronary Artery Bypass Graft (CABG).

On 25th December, my dad passed out and was rushed to the hospital. After consulting the doctor, it's suspected he lost consciousness due to a heart attack. An angiogram test confirmed that of the all main arteries in his heart, one of them is completely blocked while the other two are 95% blocked.

After being monitored in the HDU (High Dependancy Unit), it was determined that an open heart surgery is necessary to treat his condition fully without further health complications.

My dad got discharged recently due to the uncertainty of us being able to afford the surgery, and he still has a very high risk of getting a heart attack any time.

The surgery is said to be about $18,000 (about 165,000 SEK) and the angiogram test came up to about $6,000, however my dad's insurance only covers around $12,500. The extra funds will be able to support my family during his recovery.

My dad is the only person earning for him and my mom. He's done his best to provide but he won't be able to do so for a while especially at his age. We appreciate any amount of donations given. If you could also share this page to spread the word, it would really mean the world to us.
