Hi everyone! I'm Patrick, and Parker is a super sweet 3-year-old gal who came into my life a not too long ago. I've had many dogs throughout my life, but Parker is by far the most affectionate pup I have ever met. She is almost solely motivated by love. She'll choose pats or a belly scratch over a treat every single time. She loves people, dogs, and every living thing she comes into contact with. Truly, she's the sweetest dog.

 

A few weeks after I adopted her, a lump developed on her right front leg, which turned out to be a relatively large mast cell tumor. After seeing plenty of vets, oncologists, and surgeons, it looks as though her prognosis is good, but only if the tumor is removed by a skilled soft tissue surgeon promptly. Purdue University's small animal hospital has been providing treatment and has scheduled surgery for 3/16. Initially, it looked as though I would receive help from charitable organizations to help pay for Parker's operation. Unfortunately, these groups receive hundreds of applications each week, and this option has recently fallen through for us.

 

 

As some of you know, I've recently gone back to school and am in my junior year at DePaul University. I've managed to pay for Parker's treatments thus far and saved a little to make a dent in the costs associated with her surgery but don't have the means to make it the rest of the way. So any amount you're willing to donate is greatly appreciated. Those of you who know me well know that I lost my last girl, Sasha, to cancer not too ago at the age of 7. I'm determined not to let this happen with Parker.
