2020 officially sucks. 

As I'm sitting here typing and crying, I am hoping you have it in your hearts to please help. Unfortunately, my boyfriend and I had to take our precious girl, Oakley, to the E.R. for surgery tonight. She's not just another dog to us. She's our kid, our baby, our family and I don't know what we'd do without her. She's our world, and to imagine a life without her breaks my heart.

Last week, she was taken to the vet, where they prescribed her meds, which didn't really help. She puked a ton of times, stopped eating and drinking water, causing  her to lose some weight. My boyfriend called our vet, and they told him to take her off the meds. That didn't work. She became super lethargic. The vet didn't find anything in her x-rays or blood work the first time she was there, so we didn't know what was going on with her. 

Fast forward to today, Oakley was taken back to the vet, where we found out that something punctured her intestines causing fluids to leak out into her stomach. 

They ended up recommending a specialist, which no surprise is going to cost us a ton of money. The minimum amount that we'd be spending is $7500 and the highest is $10,000. I'm only going to ask for $5,000. I understand that we are going through a pandemic right now and  money is a little tight.  Honestly, anything will help.
