Help Pay for Morrigan's Pyometra Surgery
Donation protected
My name's Matthew Warlick, and in the middle of a hectic week of moving my recently-rescued Dog, Morrigan, developed a life-threatening pyometra that required immediate emergency surgery.
Despite being 11 her previous owners never had her spayed, and she was in heat when I found her. She very quickly developed a massive infection and almost went septic at the exact time I was also moving into a new apartment with my partner.
The emergency vet wanted SEVEN THOUSAND DOLLARS for the spay. Needless to say, that wasn’t going to happen, so instead, they did some tests, pumped her with $1500 worth of antibiotics, and left us to find a solution overnight while hoping she didn’t go septic.
We were finally able to get the surgery taken care of the next morning (Thank you Cornerstone Animal Hospital in Dallas) for another $1,500, and could use all the help we can get in recouping the $3,000 cost.
