Hello,

 

Last night my cat, Meeko, swallowed a long thread. It is causing damage to her intestines and will have to be surgically removed. The cost of this surgery has been quoted as costing up to $8,000, far beyond my current means.

 

Some background: I've had Meeko for eight years, it's actually our anniversary next week (March 12th). It sounds cheesy but she is truly my best friend, she's my family. We've lived in eight apartments together in two different cities. Through every moment of grief, stress, and pain during my adult life Meeko has provided comfort and joy. I love her so much.

 

I know everything is expensive right now and I feel like we're all struggling financially, but if you can help me at all it would mean so much to us. Every small amount is helpful.
