Hi! I'm Konstantin (or Kostya), a 20-year-old trans guy, and my dysphoria has been making my life a living nightmare for the roughly five years I've been openly trans. Despite my unsupportive family, I'm finally managing to medically transition, and have a date scheduled for top surgery - 4th June, 2020! Getting this surgery will eliminate a major source of dysphoria, as well as make my life generally easier, as binding every day for years has begun to negatively impact my health, and it prevents me from living my life to the fullest.
Less fortunately, I am a full-time student with a part-time job, and fairly bad insurance. Though I've budgeted for this surgery, I'm somewhat floored by how little my insurance has covered, leaving me with a significant bill. In addition, I won't be able to work for several weeks after my surgery, meaning that this will be an incredibly financially precarious time in my life, as I struggle to pay for school, medication, and hormones. Any and all support will help me greatly and make this already stressful process easier, as well as ensure that there are no further complications in my long journey to finally be able to experience life unburdened by dysphoria.
EDIT: I've been hit by a lot of unexpected medical bills, and my situation has become even more precarious. Every bit helps, and I appreciate your support more than I can say in words.
EDIT 2: Surgery was postponed due to COVID. Unsure when I'll be able to reschedule it. In generally dire financial straits otherwise, and working myself to the bone in order to save money. I'm physically disabled and struggling with nearly no support from my family. My insurance was changed on me with no warning, and now I'm going to owe an extra 2,000 USD which I don't have, and I'm overwhelmed with bills. My mental health is at an all-time low and I am nearly completely hopeless. It's taking all I have to just hold on. Any support means a lot, and I truly wouldn't be asking if I weren't at the end of my rope.
