Help Pay for Jaime's Hospital Treatment & Recovery

Donation protected
Hello my name is Irvin Rosales, the son of Jaime Rosales Rocha. My dad has been in the hospital since January 9th,2021. He was admitted after suffering a seizure like episode that resulted in him being put on a ventilator to protect his air way. He quickly became reliant on heavy medications such as sedation, anti-seizure, and muscle relaxers to stabilize him. With no prior medical history of seizures, the doctors were left confused of what triggered his life-endangering episodes. After conducting every possible health screening test, there was no indication of what was wrong. His medical mystery filled my family with frustration and worry about how he was going to recover and when. To help relieve the situation, my cousins who were nurses stepped in to explain information about my dad’s condition to our family. This is a difficult situation because we have not been able to be with him in person due to COVID and the hospital restrictions. After four weeks of the doctors monitoring my dad on the ventilator, the doctors decided that they needed to get him off the ventilator as soon as possible in fear that he might catch pneumonia. If that was not successful he was scheduled to have a “trach” and “gtube” put in him to provide the doctors more time to figure out what was wrong with him. On February 1st, the doctors decided to postpone the procedure and see how he would respond without ventilation. It wasn’t until the following day on February 2nd when the doctors gave me the miracle call my family has been praying for - my dad was able to pull the ventilator out on his own. While we are overjoyed that my dad can breathe on his own, he still has to take his first steps on his journey towards a healthy recovery.
When my dad comes home from the hospital, my family and I would like him to be able to have accesses to the medical care and treatment he needs. Due to our limited and lost incomes that have resulted from this family emergency, we are unable to afford any in-home nurse or skilled nursing home situation that we might need to help my dad. The funds raised will help cover any means of treatment for my dad, such as medication, a nurse, speech therapy, physical therapy, and follow-up appointments.
It has been hard for my family., just like many have been affected and lost someone due to Covid. If you are unable to help financially, my family would appreciate if you could share this with your own friends, family, and community members. Every penny counts in helping my dad recover. Thank you for your impact!
As his journey through the hospital has been day by day, my family and I decided to make this GOFUND ME prior to his discharge so we can prioritize my dad’s recovery when he returns.
