Help pay for Jason Clar's medical expenses

I created this GoFundMe page to help my brother and sister in law/best friend pay for medical expenses after Jason's accident. Kieawnie and Jason have been happily married for 5 years. He recently stopped smoking (we are all very proud) as they had decided to start a family. To help him assist in quitting he purchased and has been using an E-Cigarette (electric). About 3 days ago he was changing the battery in his vehicle and placed it in his left front pocket to throw it away once he returned to the house. Well that never happened!! The battery ignited in his pocket and his left leg caught fire. As you can see from the picture he suffered 3rd degree burns down his whole left leg. He was transferred by ambulance to Saint Francis Memorial Burn Unit in San Francisco where he will remain for an unspecified amount of time. He has undergone one surgery and will have another one in 2 days. He will require additional skin grafting, and physical therapy. I am hoping to help them as much as I can with the medical bills they are acquiring as Jason's insurance will not cover for all of this including the ambulance ride from Sonoma to San Francisco. I am hoping to take a little bit on anxiety and financial stress off his wife and my bestfriend as she has had to take time off of work to be by his side during this painful time. She will be staying in a hotel as she is not allowed to stay in the burn unit after his surgeries.
