Help pay for Heather’s hospital bills
Hi, I’m Taylor Cavender, Heather Cavender’s daughter. My mom has been on a 12 year long medical journey. We are not quick to ask for help, but after going 12 years without any answers, diagnosis, and lots of testing - we are unable to pay for the bills that have accumulated. We do not have health insurance, because even that is something that is unaffordable to us. My mom has been in this battle for so long and after a recent long-term stay at the hospital, we still do not have any answers. We have a hefty bill coming that unfortunately has left us wondering once again. My mom has been out of work these past 12 years as well, due to her illness. Because we have not reached a diagnosis, she does not qualify for disability. Asking for donations is the very last thing we wanted to do, but we are out of options. We know for sure that she has an auto immune disorder that has affected every inch of her body. Her symptoms have become unbearable and we would like to continue testing so we can finally have answers as to why she feels the way she does and begin treatment. She has been to the Cleveland Clinic, The Ohio State University, Miami Valley, as well as UVMC - none of them have been able to make sense out of her situation.
Please, if you are able, make a donation as we are truly desperate for help. We are trying to be hopeful that we will reach a diagnosis as this journey is tiring and quite frankly, depressing.
My mom truly is my biggest supporter and I really do look up to her. She is so strong, loving, and the best mother a girl could ask for. She has even treated my close friends as if they are her own children, making our home a very inclusive and loving environment. I don’t know where I would be today if I didn’t have my mom, and I hate to see her so stressed not only over not having a diagnosis, but also from the stress of paying our bills. Again, we hate to ask for donations, but we truly could use all the help we can get.
