Help pay for funeral expenses and medical bills

Hi everyone,

What a rough two years it has been for many of us - but some bonds are just never broken. Christine Bott Neff was upbeat and positive no matter the hardship she faced. She always worried about others, more than herself. A difference in religious or political views was never a factor in determining her love and devotion to your friendship. Christine LOVED life and people, especially her grandchildren. She was so proud of them and wanted to live to watch them grow up. We all grew up in a tight knit community, I am hopeful we can all come together to help Christine's family pay for funeral and medical expenses at this difficult time. I have several memories. I used to ride the bus to school with Christine, Tracy and Charlene Timmerman, Brad & Liz Laubinger and Tisha Dowe. I always remember Christine's friendly face. She protected me from bullies. My own mother, Kathy Roussin, played a role in Jason and Christine meeting. My mom worked with Jason ages ago at McDonalds if my memory serves correctly. More recently, Christine had been an insomnia buddy - neither one of us could sleep late at night. She would share videos of her grandchildren with me and her children Marissa and Adam. She was worried about me - whether my boyfriend treated me right, how dangerous was it for me to be taking an experimental drug, wishing she could move me back to Sullivan and in with her to make sure I felt loved and cared for. A kind and gentle soul who could also be fierce protecting those she loved.

I'd also like to take this opportunity to speak out against those with judgement. First, you NEVER speak ill of the dead. It is just not something you do, and any negativity will not be tolerated. Second, Christine was trying to get better so she could watch her grandchildren grow up. People who do not have diabetes or genetic eating disorders do not understand. Insulin is a hormone and it can have devastating effects on your body when it is out of control. It can increase your hunger, it can make you pass out if you don't eat, it can make you crave certain foods or more sugar. Stop judging people on what they look like or how clean they keep a house - we do the best we can with the cards dealt to us in life.

I intend to start off the donations with what it would cost me to fly back and rent a car. I am sure Christine would want me to put the money towards helping her family at this difficult time.
