Help Pay For Emilia's Medical Treatment

My cousin Sofia, had an unplanned pregnancy at seventeen during the beginning of the pandemic and was left with no choice but to stop her high school studies. She decided to embrace her pregnancy knowing that she would become a single mother at seventeen. 

After 5 months, baby Emilia was diagnosed with an uncommon bile duct and liver disease called biliary atresia. Emilia went through two long and complicated liver surgeries in different hospitals in Mexico. Both Emilia and Sofia do not have any health insurance and their family is thus experiencing an economic crisis.

Emilia is currently undergoing treatment and medications to improve her condition and may require further surgeries, including a transplant, in the future. Sofia knows there is a long road ahead but she has faith that both her and her baby will make it through.
