Help pay for my dog Elsa's life saving treatment

Elsa needs radiotherapy to save her life, but a  recent blood illness that almost killed her has swallowed up all the insurance money needed for radiotherapy.

Elsa
is a happy, super affectionate and well loved family dog. She had always been a very healthy and energetic Weimaraner until March 2020 when 2 months before her 7th birthday, she began having seizures. She was put on medication and booked for a MRI scan to determine the cause but three days before the scan, the Covid 19 lockdown in England came into place and the MRI was cancelled.

Over the next couple of months though at first she appeared stable on medication, she began to suffer more seizures at closer intervals until we eventually managed to get her referred to Fitzpatrick referrals for an MRI which sadly revealed a brain tumour. Since it was located in a difficult place for surgery it was decided that radiotherapy would be her best option and could give her a few more years of good quality life as opposed to only a few months without it. Her medication was changed with the tumour diagnosis and she was doing very well as if nothing in the world was wrong with her.

However shortly before she could begin the radiotherapy, Elsa became sick possibly with DIC due to a mystery illness. She began passing blood and vomiting and as her condition worsened she was transferred to the Royal Veterinary College in Potter's Bar, where she underwent extensive care over the course of 2 weeks. She had a bleeding disorder with low platelets, was bruising easily and she needed two blood transfusions and two lots of plasma as she had become anaemic. It seemed her body was attacking itself.

On the 21st June we were told they couldn't do much more for her and with broken hearts we prepared to to put her to sleep the following day. In the morning by some miracle she had shown significant improvement and though she was not out of the woods, there was hope.

We now have Elsa home and she is recovering well, outwardly back to normal. However this has delayed her radiotherapy which she needs ASAP and although we have insurance, the 2 weeks she spent at the RVC has eaten up all the money, leaving us with nearly £4,000 to pay ourselves plus £7500-£8000 for radiotherapy. This doesn't include medication costs, various follow up tests still ongoing and charges from our regular vet. Though we ensured Elsa was covered we are now faced with a hard task to find the money to extend Elsa's life. She is such a happy and relatively young dog, you would never know she had a tumour and we are desperate for her to have the chance to live more years instead of just months, we are extremely grateful for any help. Thank you :)
