Help Pay for Artemis' Vet Bills

A few days ago we noticed that Artemis was having issues using the litter box. He started growling and hissing after trying to pee, so we called the vet and they told us to take him to the emergency vet hospital. After some testing, they found that his bladder had a lot of crystals in it, and that his urethra had blocked.  We went ahead with catheterization, which drained a lot of the crystals out, but unfortunately, after removal of the catheter, Artemis fell into the 10% of cats that re-block in the first 24 hours. He is currently on a second catheterization, and if he re-blocks after this one then likely our only option to keep him healthy and alive will be to go ahead with a surgery called "perineal urethrostomy" which basically removes his penis and creates a larger urethral opening, so he can properly empty his bladder. We're praying that it won't come to that, as our current bill before surgery is projected to be around $3500, and it could likely double after the surgery.I've had Artemis for 4 years, I adopted him as an adult at 4 years old. He was a street cat prior to adoption, and he's completely deaf. He is the friendliest, most affectionate cat you could ask for. He loves going for walks and meeting new people, and people love meeting him. He is like a child to us and we couldn't imagine our life without him. Our home already seems so strangely empty after just 3 days in the hospital, and even his girlfriend Athena is so confused and sad that he's not here.

We cannot fathom having to let our boy go, and would be eternally grateful to anyone who even donates a few dollars to our cause, and even if we may not be able to pay everyone back, I would love to do something like write a card or make a piece of art for anyone who donates to show my appreciation. This situation is ongoing, and decisions need to be made quickly, and as far as I can tell from the documentation I have received from the hospital, a full payment is expected on pickup of your pet.
