Help pay Darren's medical expenses
Donation protected
Because of God’s mercy and protection, Darren Greenfield barely survived a serious car accident on Friday, Nov. 5, 2021 in the west African country of Ghana. Traveling on rough roads in a downpour, the driver lost control of the vehicle and they collided with the back of a truck carrying metal rods. Apparently one or more hit him in the face causing extensive deep cuts. He lost consciousness and did not regain it until after he had been placed on a local bus, traveled some distance, and was transferred to an ambulance. At the scene, the driver really felt that Darren had been killed and started CPR. PTL that Darren miraculously survived the impact.
After many delays and minimal access to medical care in the area where the accident occurred, he did get some stitches in his face and traveled 3 more hours to an Adventist hospital where he could get an X-ray and CT scan. No skull fractures were identified (but only on x-ray taken) but apparently it showed a dislocated jaw with a possible fracture as well. He got an IV as the swelling and pain made it hard to even swallow or speak. This took most of Sabbath. Then he stayed at a church member's home.
By Sunday it was clear that he needed to return to the States for a proper evaluation and treatment of his injuries. This will entail time off work, extensive trauma evaluation and treatments. As Darren has no health insurance to cover any of these expenses, and has focused his life and work on helping others in service to God and his neighbor, we would like to invite you to help defray these expenses that can mount quite quickly. The goal amount to be raised will be adjusted up if needed but this is where we want to start.
You also have the option to donate directly to Darren and Iraneia by Zelle using the phone number that follows -
area code five three zero, four zero one, sixty nine zero eight. The name on this account is Iraneia Greenfield. This method incurs no fees that affect the amount they are able to use, so is the preferred method if you are comfortable with that.
If you are outside of the United States, Western Union is probably the most reliable way to donate to Greenfields. You can WhatsApp Iraneia at the number above for any other information you need to send the Western Union.

Darren manages the farm at Weimar University and served as chairman of the Adventist Agricultural Association for a number of years. He had traveled to Ghana to support a regional agricultural conference where he was to be the featured presenter and was to provide expert consultancy on a proposed agricultural training school that they would like to start in Ghana.
Updates will be posted on this page so check back often to see how things are going! Thank you so much for your support!
