Hi, my name is Sharee Artist. I am a 22 year old integrative biology student at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. I recently lost my on-campus job that was helping to cover monthly expenses such as rent + utilities for my apartment, car insurance, school fees, groceries, and medical bills. In addition to that, I have experienced several hardships during my academic career. I have dealt with a loss of my closet familial support due to the death of my guardians, which negatively impacted my mental health and financial security. I have also experienced work and academic based discrimination due to being a Black non-binary lesbian, which has affected my ability to gain employment currently. As of now, I have overdue apartment and car insurance fees which is anxiety inducing because my only means of transportation is by car. Any help that you could provide would tremendously improve my current financial situation, and give me the support I need to survive. Please share, repost, and donate what you can.
