This fundraising campaign is for PAWS - Precious Animals Worth Saving. We have been rescuing animals - mostly cats - from the streets of Jackson, MN, since 2010. In those years, we have helped reunite many animals with their owners, as well as find hundreds of new homes for those who were abandoned or born on the streets. We have also implemented a TNVR (Trap-Neuter-Vaccinate-Return) program for those cats who are too feral to find indoor homes for.
The need for funds is ongoing, and all funds are used for spaying/neutering, vaccinating, testing and other necessary vet costs, as well as feeding and sheltering the cats until they find their forever homes. PAWS is no-kill, so they stay with us until they find homes. Some have been with us for as long as 8 years. They have their home with us until their forever family is found.
Raya is one of the most recent rescues. She was rescued from downtown Jackson in late December, obviously dumped there, as she just showed up one day, very skinny and sick. She is recovered now, and is scheduled for her spay the beginning of February. She will be available for adoption after she is spayed.
On the other end of the spectrum is Tory, one of our long-term residents. She was rescued after being left behind at a house in Lakefield 8 years ago. She has had a variety of medical issues through the years, but you would be hard-pressed to find a sweeter cat.
All funds will be used to continue to care for those currently in PAWS care, as well as to continue our TNVR program. This prevents more kittens from being born on the streets, and it keeps the cats healthier as they are cared for by colony caretakers, who feed and provide shelter for them in their outdoor home.
Any and all donations are deeply appreciated! Everything helps, no matter how small. Thank you so much!
