Refugio Patitas de Amor es manejado por Alejandra Martínez y su esposo en Tela, HN.
Todo inició con el rescate de un gatito de apenas unos días, a quien Alejandra cuidó con amor y esmero y quien la impulsó a construir poco a poco un refugio para ellos. El Gato Chele (ese era su nombre) lamentablemente falleció el año pasado, después de 5 años. Pero lo que inspiró a sigue adelante, para ayudar a más como el, que no tienen un hogar.
Paws of Love Rescue (Refugio Patitas de Amor) is run by Alejandra Martinez and her husband in Tela, HN. Everything started with the rescue of a kitten, barely a few days old, who Alejandra, with love and care nursed back to health. Gato Chele (that was his name) unfortunately died last year, after 5 years. But what he inspired is still on going, to keep helping those like him that don’t have a home.

El terreno en donde el refugio se encuentra, es rentado, pero por reclamos de los vecinos, están siendo desalojados. Alejandra se vio obligada a buscar otro lugar para poder mover a casi 600 gatos, 250 perros, patos, gallinas (no se discrimina al rescatar a quien lo necesita). Se lógico encontrar un terreno, el cual se está pagando aún.
Con el esfuerzo de todos, con cada donación se ha ido construyendo un lugar digno de estos hermosos ángeles, quienes ya han sufrido suficiente. Aún falta para terminar la construcción. La construcción, el pago del terreno, la compra de comida, los medicamentos, las visitas a la veterinaria, las esterilizaciones todo se paga con las donaciones que se reciben de personas que como Alejandra aman a estos ángeles de cuatro patas que Dios puso en este mundo para darnos alegría.

The land where the shelter is located is rented, but due to complaints from neighbors, they are being evicted. Alejandra was forced to look for another place to be able to move almost 600 cats, 250 dogs, ducks, chickens (there is no discrimination when rescuing those in need). It was logical to find a piece of land, which is still being paid for.
With help from everyone, with each donation, a place worthy of these beautiful angels has been built, who have already suffered enough. There is still work to be done to finish the construction. The construction, the payment for the land, the purchase of food, the medicines, the visits to the vet, the sterilizations, everything is paid for with the donations received from people like you who love these four-legged angels that God put in this world to give us joy.
Anything you can give, no matter how small will help, because every cent or dollar counts.

Alejandra ama a los animales, ella es una persona como cualquier otra cuyo amor por estas hermosas creaturas las impulsa a tener un trabajo de tiempo completo y aún así encontrar tiempo para poder rescatar 500 gatos, 21 perros, incluso patos y gallinas.
Alejandra is a true animal angel working full time while still finding time to save 500 cats, 21 dogs and even some injured ducks and chickens. Due to the financial strain of paying for all the food for the animals, as well as their veterinary care, so they are healthy and happy, Alejandra needs a little help from us. We are looking to raise $5000 so that Paws of Love can pay their veterinary bills and back taxes on the land they lease for the rescue. Anything you can donate will help these 500+ animals keep their home. Please help these selfless people help those animals that have no voice to help themselves. Thank you
