At Paws at Home, we’re in crisis — and we need your help.
Local shelters across North Carolina are at capacity, leaving countless dogs and cats with nowhere to go. Our founder, Nicole, a disabled veteran and single mother, has turned her own home into a lifeline for these animals. Right now, she’s personally caring for 9 puppies, 8 kittens, 2 adult cats, and 3 adult dogs.
Every inch of space is filled, and we’re out of room. Despite the tireless effort, donations have slowed dramatically in recent months. With the ongoing government shutdown affecting families and small nonprofits, we’re struggling to keep up with the growing demand for rescue care.
Our solution: a 6-bay climate-controlled kennel building, quoted at $26,995. This permanent facility will:
• Provide safe housing when foster homes are full
• Offer heating/cooling for year-round comfort
• Create quarantine space to prevent illness
• Expand our intake capacity during shelter overflow
We rely solely on donations — no government funding. Every dollar brings us closer to a secure space where abandoned pets can heal and find hope.
You can be part of building this future.
Donate. Share. Save lives.
Together, we can build more than a kennel — we can build hope.
