Hello, my name is Hope Lebedev, and I am creating this fundraiser on behalf of my father, Pavel Roshten.

My dad is a husband and a father of four young children, and he has always worked hard to provide for his family. He never imagined he would be in a situation where he’d need to ask for help, but his health has declined so severely that he is no longer able to work.

For several years, my dad has suffered from chronic gout. Over the past year, his condition has worsened due to nerve compression (spinal stenosis) in the lower spine, severe degeneration of his hip joints (grade 4 osteoarthritis), and arthritis in both knees. The pain and swelling in his legs and feet have made it extremely difficult for him to stand or walk without a walker. Some days, even moving around the house is a struggle.

He has been going from doctor to doctor, paying out of pocket, hoping to find relief—but nothing has eased the pain. He has now been out of work for about six months, and without income, it has become very difficult for him to cover basic needs such as utilities and ongoing medical expenses. My uncle has been faithfully supporting him each week, and while we are incredibly grateful, it is still not enough to sustain the family.

It feels humbling to ask for help, but I am doing this for my dad, my stepmom, and my younger siblings who depend on him.
