Help Paul's Dream Sculpture Come to Life
Donation protected
Hi everyone!
It's Paul's birthday on 6/25 and I'm working on something super special for him. If you know Paul at all, you know that he has a huge heart for people, especially his family. He had a special bond with his late grandmother, Theresa, who passed in 2022. Several years before she passed, she had a tree on her farm in Iowa carved into a stunning wood sculpture. The sculpture is still beautiful as ever and visiting it has become a sweet, special part of visiting the farm. Paul has often talked about wanting to do something similar on his own property, but the project is a big one. We unfortunately have to remove a giant maple tree in front of our house due to its close proximity to the foundation, but it presents a great opportunity for a wood sculpture to both remember his grandmother and conserve what is left of the tree for art. His dream has been to have it carved into an owl similar to the ones at the farm. I've been able to get in contact with the same artist that carved the one for his grandma, which makes this project extra exciting! This project is a bit beyond my budget, so I thought, what better way for friends and family to honor Paul and his love for all things nature, conservation, family, and connection by fundraising and making it happen together. I know he'll be so touched to see that his community has come together to make something so special happen for him. I'm waiting for the final quote, but am expecting this to cost at least $3000. When I get the final quote, I'll adjust the goal up or down depending on what we'll need to complete the project. If you're looking for a way to wish Paul the happiest birthday, please consider donating to make this awesome project happen. I know he's going to be so touched by all of you being involved in making something like this come to fruition.
Thank you so much for your love and support for my guy, Pawly.
Warmly,
Mandi
