I recently took a fall in early January that has forever changed my life. I broke my right femur, which required extensive surgery. After 7 1/2 hours in surgery, sixteen screws and two plates were placed in my femur. I also developed a large area of strep infection in the leg and have since undergone three more surgeries to clean out the infection. A week into my hospital stay, we learned my left tibia was also broken, with a clean break. I spent over three months in the hospital and have endured countless hours of rehab. The pain is excruciating and the experience has been very tear-filled.

My medical bills are extensive, and I am facing significant debt due to these injuries. I can't walk and need to rent a wheelchair accessible van several times a week to get to doctor appointments, which is a major expense. In the last three weeks, I've had to rent a van multiple times and call an ambulance several times, all while living on a disability income. We need to buy a medical van immediately. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

I am so grateful to anyone who can help get my story out to as many people as possible, whether you can offer financial assistance, the power of prayer, or simply share my story. I've come to terms with the fact that I will never walk again, but I need to stay strong and focused on protecting my leg and getting the best medical attention.
