Paula, my friend from church, is facing an incredibly tough time. On her way to her second chemotherapy infusion, her minivan broke down and is now sitting at a transmission repair shop. While chemotherapy cannot wait, Paula has had to rely on friends to get her to and from her treatments. She has been unable to work since she was hospitalized and required surgery before starting chemo, leaving her without any income to cover her regular bills, let alone the cost of replacing her vehicle’s transmission.

The priority for the funds raised will be to replace the transmission in Paula’s minivan, which will come with a 3-year warranty to give her peace of mind. Any remaining funds will be used to help with her immediate living expenses while she is unable to work. Your support will help Paula regain some independence and focus on her recovery, knowing that her transportation and basic needs are being taken care of.

This fundraiser is for someone who is usually the helper, not the recipient. Paula is a hard worker with a loving and compassionate heart for her clients and everyone she comes in contact with. Sometimes, being the one on the receiving end can take us out of our comfort zone.
