Help Paula and Jeff relocate

On Tuesday, January 9th, Paula and Jeff’s home was DESTROYED by an improperly installed washing machine. The drain to the washing machine was never hooked up to the drain pan, causing the machine to overflow repeatedly, which led to the ENTIRE downstairs ceiling collapsing. The rental company who they have been renting the home through- American Homes for Rent - who installed the washing machine drain pan improperly, has YET to return their phone calls and emails for help.

With no renters insurance and NO HELP from the company who installed the machine, Paula and Jeff, their son Kolton, and their niece Teagan have had to pay for hotel stays and an airbnb, as well as paying to eat out for all of their meals because they are unable to cook with no kitchen. They have now lost not only their washer and dryer, but also all of their living room furniture, everything in their kitchen, everything in their spare bedroom, as well as all of the food that was in the home.

They have also had to pay out of pocket to have a home inspection done, as well as having a water and mold remediation company come out to try to mitigate the damage as much as possible. This has been an absolute nightmare for not only the obvious reasons but also, because it has uprooted their 10 year old son from his home right in the middle of the school year. The emotional damage that this situation has caused is far more than any 10 year old kid should ever have to endure.

I am positive that at some point in time, Paula has made you laugh until you had tears coming down your face. Jeff thinks he’s just as funny, but we won’t kick a man while he’s down.
