Friends,

My superhero of a mother, Paula, suffered a very unexpected heart attack on Tuesday evening. While she was in the cath lab to repair her heart, she suffered a second, more life threatening heart attack. We almost lost her. She is the strongest woman I know, and we are so grateful she is still here with us. She continues to be in a great deal of pain, but she is stable and seemingly on the mend. She will be hospitalized for another day or 2 then is expected to be out of work for an additional 3-4 weeks. I would love nothing more than for my incredible stepdad (who has been sleeping on the floor next to her) to be able to be with her for as long as possible without the financial stress of missing work. I know many have asked for ways to help, and even though I know they’ll kill me for this, it would be an amazing help to them. Thank you all for the kindness and love you’ve shown her the past few days. We are so blessed.
