Help Support Paul During Battle With Stage 4 Lung Cancer

Help Paul Stay in His Home and Community While Battling Stage 4 Lung Cancer

For 36 years, Paul has been designing, remodeling, and creating dream homes for countless families as a general contractor. His work fostered lasting relationships, with many of his loyal clients becoming lifelong friends. They would often invite Paul back time and again to evolve their homes. And when they moved to new homes, they would call on him once more to create another beloved space. Paul's work has always been built on word of mouth. His reputation for honesty, work ethic, and exceptional design ability made him the go-to person for solving challenges that no one else could.

Now, Paul faces his toughest challenge yet: Stage 4 lung cancer. A year ago, it all began with back pain that led to the stunning diagnosis. Nine months ago, the diagnosis was confirmed, the cancer spread to his spine, robbing him of the ability to walk or sit upright without excruciating pain. Shockingly, Paul has never smoked a day in his life. This diagnosis has turned Paul and Dené’s world upside down, bringing Paul’s business and income to a sudden halt and causing a ripple effect on their finances.

Paul has run marathons in Dublin, Ireland, and Venice, Italy, to raise money for the Arthritis Joint’s in Motion Foundation. He also became a mentor to many who trained to do the same. Paul has loved serving as a counselor for children with pediatric arthritis at the summer camps funded by the Joints in Motion Foundation.

For the past nine months, Paul’s wife Dené has been doing everything she can to keep things afloat, managing his treatment and caring for his growing needs. The impact this has had on Dené’s service business has placed their financial situation in a critical state. They are now at a point where they must reach out to family, friends, and the extended community for help.

I’ve set up this GoFundMe on their behalf because I’m fully aware of their situation. My hope is to raise enough funds to cover housing and essential needs, allowing Paul to remain in his home and in the small community where people are close by and can visit at a moment’s notice. Their small living space doesn’t allow for overnight guests, which limits the support they can physically receive from people who don’t live next door. While their physical needs are great, the financial needs to secure housing are even greater.

With your help, Dené could adjust her work schedule to continue serving her clients while being better able to manage Paul’s treatments, daily needs, and doctor’s visits. The stress of juggling everything, along with the financial strain, is taking a significant emotional and physical toll on Dené. Your support would alleviate some of that burden, allowing them to focus on what truly matters: Paul’s comfort, care, and quality of life.

We don’t know what the next 9 months to a year will hold for Paul, but with your assistance, we can ensure that they can remain in their home. Every donation, no matter the size, makes a difference. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your support, love, and generosity.

Please share this campaign with others who know Paul or have been touched by his work and spirit.
