Paul Dillon is facing a serious and life-altering situation.
At 56, he has been diagnosed with bipolar disorder and clinical depression—conditions he is actively managing with medication. Over the years, after losing his job and steady income, he was no longer able to afford proper dental care. As a result, Paul has now lost all of his teeth, and something as basic as eating has become a daily struggle.
This is not just about restoring a smile—it is about restoring Paul’s ability to eat, maintain his health, and regain a sense of normal life.
My name is Michael Mussulis, and I am organizing this fundraiser on behalf of my friend Paul Dillon. I have known Paul for 30 years, and I want to help him access the treatment he urgently needs.
I am raising funds to help Paul undergo a full dental restoration in Romania, where specialized clinics offer advanced implant procedures such as All-on-6 at a significantly lower cost than in the UK. This treatment would give Paul a permanent solution and a real chance to rebuild his life.
The process typically involves two stages, 6–12 months apart:
- The first visit includes removal of any remaining teeth, placement of implants, and temporary teeth so Paul can begin eating and recovering.
- The second visit completes the process with permanent teeth, restoring both function and confidence.
The total estimated cost is between $20,000 and $30,000, which includes:
- Dental surgery and implants
- Travel expenses
- Accommodation in Bucharest during recovery
- Follow-up care
Paul has been caught in a difficult cycle where his mental health challenges have made it extremely hard to return to work, and his dental condition has further affected his confidence and overall wellbeing. Since I moved away from the UK, I am no longer able to support him directly in the ways I once could.
That is why I am asking for your help.
I truly believe that restoring Paul’s teeth will do far more than improve his appearance—it will help him regain his self-esteem, his ability to engage with the world, and the confidence to move forward with his life.
