Paul Buckles, my significant other, suffered a massive stroke that changed our lives forever. Tragically, his condition was misdiagnosed by HEB Hospital and Bedford EMS, which delayed the care he desperately needed. Since June 29, 2025, I have been caring for Paul at home around the clock, doing everything I can to support his recovery. We have exhausted all the resources available through Medicare, and twenty days ago, I brought him home to continue his care myself.

We have spent all of our income and savings to provide for Paul’s needs. Now, we are in urgent need of a part-time caregiver, as well as essential supplies like diapers, wipes, medications, and groceries. Small adaptations to our home are also necessary to keep Paul safe and comfortable. Most importantly, funding will allow Paul to resume physical and occupational therapy, which is critical for his recovery—especially in this first year, when the most progress can be made.

I have always tried to pay my blessings forward, and now I am reaching out from the bottom of my heart for help to get through the next few months.
