My name is Paul and I recently lost my mother in late October 2025. I spent the last three years being a nurse's aid/caregiver up till of her death. It was one of the most toughest tasks I have ever experienced. It was draining mentally, emotionally and financially. I could not work a regular job because the situation demanded 24/7 hours. Her social security help pay the home expenses and medical bills.

Since her death I’ve been searching for work while trying to keep up with all those bills. Needless to say that social security ended after the funeral. That was another element making it hard to care for myself and my loyal dog. Now, I am at risk of losing my home.

I cannot receive any help from the state and federal government with unemployment compensation for whatever reason. I’m not able to receive my retirement pension from the navy until five years.

All that adversity and job searching stress has caused me to start my own business venture. I am starting two businesses one a freelance residential design company. I created home plans from computer aided drafting software. The other business will be a weekend dessert making specialist. This will supplement the home design business during the idle periods with no clients.

The funds donated from your generosity will 1st help pay my basic living expenses like food, medication, gasoline, cell phone, truck note and utilities. Your donations will also help me pay off credit card and mom's hospital bills. This will increase more business capital after paying off these lingering bills. These funds will also help obtain good personal health insurance and vet insurance. I cannot run these businesses if I am not healthy or not running at the optimum energy level. I cannot run these businesses if I am having to spend lots of time and money at the vets office for a diseased dog. With no wife, no children or no girlfriend yet my dog is my support companion.

The funds donated from your generosity will be invested in these two businesses by purchasing AutoCAD software licenses and additional training. If needed funds will be used for specific educational courses and test certifications certain clients require from designer. The funds for the dessert business will be used 1st to pay for restoring the gas stove which has been out of operation since 2021. I will also have to buy more special cookware for these desserts.

With your support funding these two business ventures will not only help me personally through my adversity. I will have the ability to help other lives by employing people. I will benefit the community by designing appealing homes and beautiful landscapes that make happy neighborhoods .
